About Passion4Wine
My own passion for wine was ignited in the early 1980s, initially through an encounter with vintage port. This sparked not only my taste buds but also a thirst for knowledge to discover more about wine, the sovereign of drinks. Which other hobby could provide so much interest and enjoyment?
My quest has taken me to nearly all the wine producing areas of Western Europe – as well as South Africa and the Niagara Lakes region of Canada – during which time I have been privileged to meet some of the world’s finest wine producers. This, along with the accumulation of a large personal library of wine literature and a single-minded determination to grasp every opportunity to taste wine, has developed the breadth and depth of my knowledge and has continually increased my passion.

Having conducted wine tastings for social groups and charities for over 10 years whilst pursuing a career in telecommunications, I have now established my own business,
Passion4Wine Limited, and I focus my energies on sharing my passion with others through hosting wine tastings and wine-related events. In 2010 I achieved a Pass with Distinction grade in the WSET Advanced Certificate in Wines & Spirits and now plan to study for the Diploma qualification. My vinous journey has taken off in a new and exciting direction: please come and join me.
